Becky Saterbak was born in Houston, TX and attended Baylor University as an undergraduate. She was a member of the Baylor University Golden Wave Marching Band, a sorority, and a student member of the Texas Speech-Language & Hearing Association. Following graduation, she served as a missionary through the US-2 program where she worked with marginalized youth in St. Louis. Following her time in this volunteer program, Ms. Saterbak attended graduate school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN where her interest in adult neurogenic communication disorders was nurtured.
Her career includes employment at the University of Missouri as well as the Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute in Galveston, TX. Specialties include Augmentative-Alternative Communication, Swallowing, and Traumatic Brain Injury. She was employed at Hardin-Simmons in August 2017 as an Assistant Professor and Department Head.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
